1. Your goals are probably unrealistic----you can't lose 14 pounds in a week, no matter what your friend eating bunless cheeseburgers all day says. But you CAN lose that much in a month. And you CAN eat cheeseburgers while doing it. With the bun. Your keto friends are going to be jealous.
2. You're probably unprepared. What exercises do you do? An hour of cardio at the gym? Oh wait--everyone's on the cardio machines. Now what? Maybe a smoothie at the smoothie bar until the cardio machines are free. But the cardio machines are never free. Agggghhhhh! (Hint: we don't do hours of cardio here--just some fun 30 minute workouts)
3. You lack support. Because the going WILL GET TOUGH and your support system is what will see you through to your goal. And not only that....the dirty secret is that your friends and family will start to SABOTAGE you---telling you that you're "obsessed" and "just have one beer or cookie" (you can actually have all of that---we'll show you exactly how. As for being obsessed---it's really the haters obsessed with your toned thighs!)
4. Non-Judgemental Accountability is non-existent in most programs. Either you are "bad" because you ate a cupcake or no one is checking in to make sure your meal plan is actually working because they just gave one meal plan to everyone and hope for the best. Yeah, let's customise this, shall we?
I have a ton of clients who I help lose weight and get in better shape. And, one of the things I teach them from day one is that you can achieve whatever you want to achieve, whenever you want it.
5. Flexibility - It's super important to be able to pivot, adapt and overcome. If something isn't working don't keep repeating the behaviour. If gyms are shut, be willing to find alternate ways to smash your goals.
You don't need permission from anyone. And, you don't need to wait for the new year. So, just dump the idea of resolutions and let me tell you about my New Year's Revolution weight loss and get back into shape program.
I'm calling it "fresh start challenge".
